ALTL A Love To Last September 19, 2017 | Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) chairman Dante Jimenez is confident that the death of Horacio Castillo III, the UST law student who is believed to have died due to fraternity hazing initiation, is justified in previous unresolved hazing cases.
In an interview with Brigada News FM National, Jimenez said that UST took steps to suspend members of the Aegis Juris fraternity while the case was overturned by Castillo's death.
Jimenez, however, said that the authorities were initially good at resolving such cases and when the victim was buried, it would be very slow to see the case progress because of the rotten justice system in the country.
Other than that, the school also has the responsibility of hazing cases because instead of being a place of security for students, it is still permissible to have fraternities and sororities who commit violence.
