Ika-6 na Utos September 19, 2017 | Some congressmen were reluctant to request House Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariñas to give them immunity from the latter for minor traffic violations.

According to Navotas Congressman Toby Tiangco, there is no need to treat other congressmen as opposed to other motorists.

Instead of parliamentary immunity from the violations, the special plate number 8 should be removed only by Congressmen.

Tiangco said that he did not get a plate number, in June 2016 the bill filed for the special plate was filed because there is no reason to use it and is more prone to abuse than it is impossible to determine whether legitimate congressmen use its on the road.

Deputy Speaker Miro Quimbo asserted this statement and said it was time to remove the special plate number 8 of the lawmakers so he called on the House of Representatives to list the names of Congressmen who did not get plate number 8.

This is because of the recent complaints that the use of the special plate number is being abused and is still visible at night time bars.
